PORTLAND — Team USA's Kendell Williams hit veteran photographer Victor Sailer today during the shot put competition in the women's pentathlon at the IAAF World Indoor Championships.
Ouch. Sailer was not seriously injured after being struck below the knee.
Williams, a junior from the University of Georgia, is fresh off breaking her own NCAA record last weekend in Birmingham. She recorded a foul on her second throw, the one that struck Sailer, and she finished sixth overall with 4586 points.
