Geoffrey Kamworor’s terrible fall and trampling at the start of the World Half Championships could have doomed his entire race, or much worse, but the Kenyan managed to get up and weave his way through the jogging masses before crushing everyone on Saturday.
With bloody knees and what I’m assuming was a nuclear level of adrenaline coursing through his veins, Kamworor busted off a frantic 4:15 first mile to catch up to the elite race after his hazardous rendezvous with the Welsh pavement.
