We developed a formula to rank the top 25 athletes in NCAA Division I track and field based on who will make the most impact at the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon. FloTrack's Week 2 Power Rankings have some big changes.
This week's men's rankings show the debut of Florida State's steeplechaser Zak Seddon who is coming of a strong performance at the Stanford Invitational running the current #1 NCAA time of 8:33.09.
On the women's side, we see a huge rise from Texas sprinter Morolake Akinosun jumping 18 spots to number four in the rankings. Akinsoun ran a wind legal 11.07 at the Texas Relays good for the top in the NCAA. Akinosun will be relied on heavily for the Longhorns to have a chance at the outdoor team title.
