Jarrion Lawson Signs Endorsement Deal With Asics
Jarrion Lawson, the first man since Jesse Owens in 1936 to win the 100m, 200m and long jump at the NCAA Championships, has signed an endorsement deal with Asics, according to Darren Rovell of ESPN.

The terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but sources say this is the largest deal ever signed for a male track athlete by Asics.

While competing at Arkansas, the 22-year-old Lawson wore Nike and hasn't worn Asics once in his career, but he said the company's commitment to him throughout their talks comforted him, even though he'd only have a couple of days to get used to the products before the Olympic Trials.

"I'm comfortable with the long jump shoes and I really feel ready to go in my sprint spikes," Lawson told ESPN.

Lawson said the bonuses in the Asics contract will pay him more when and if he wins, which serves as a little bit of extra motivation.

He will compete at the Olympic Trials in the 100m, 200m and long jump, starting Friday, July 1.
