Take a look at some of the top talent in the 2016 Region 4 Qualifier Meet
11-year-old John Hall is the epitome of an all-around track and field athlete. The Canton, OH native who runs for ATP Elite Club is entered in the high jump, 80m hurdles, and 800m run this weekend at the Region #4 Qualifier this weekend. Hall has also dabbled in the 400 running 79.10 at the Columbus Classic last year.
Though he'll likely place at the top of all three event this weekend, the high jump is arguably Hall's strongest endeavor. On Sunday he'll look to improve on his 4' 5.15 PR in the event where he is the top seed. He is joined by three other competitors in the 11-year-old division: Zion Jackson, Hayden Bateson, and Reggie Coats, all four are Ohio natives who have likely seen each other before in competition.
Jackson of the Lima Striders Track Club poses the greatest challenge to Hall in his quest for the crown. He's got a seed time of 4' 2.00 and like Hall will also compete in multiple events- the long jump and 80m hurdles where he and Hall will meet again.
