Kiprop's Agents Investigated In Kenya For Doping
Multiple Kenyan news sources are reporting superagents Gabriele and Federico Rosa of Italy are being investigated in Kenya for doping offenses.

Reuters reported that Kenyan police claimed Federico Rosa "conspired to cause injury by doping, to the reputation and profession of athletes."

Federico is the son of Dr. Gabriele Rosa; together, the two run the Rosa Associati agency. That agency currently represents 1500m world and Olympic champion Asbel Kiprop, 800m runner Nijel Amos, high jumper Marco Fassinotti, 10K runner Paul Tanui, and 800m runner Francine Niyonsaba. The Italian duo has also represented legendary marathoners Rita Jeptoo, Martin Lel, Paul Tergat, Sammy Wanjiru, and Viktor Rothlin.

Jeptoo tested positive for EPO in 2014 after winning several major marathons.

Kenyan journalist Saddique Shaban tweeted that Mathew Kisorio—busted for steroids in 2012—is a source for the investigation, while athletes are standing by the Rosas.

A report on the Athletics Kenya website says that both Rosas had their passports taken as part of the investigation. "The issue we are handling is sensitive... I am just doing my work so let me finish with them... then you can talk to them," an anonymous police officer said to Athletics Kenya. "We have not arrested them as such, but we just want to interrogate them."
