Oregon's Edward Cheserek just wrote his name into the record books with a record breaking 3:52.01 mile at the BU Last Chance Meet in Boston, MA. The previous mile record of 3:52.88 was held by Arizona's Lawi Lalang in 2014. Cheserek's mark is also the Kenyan national record, breaking world silver medalist (and 3:27 man) Silas Kiplagat's 3:52.63 mark.
