Who: Brenda Martinez, Julia Stepanova, Abbey De La Motte, Shannon Leinert, Hannah Hermansson
When: 5:30 PM
Why: Last year, world medalist Brenda Martinez soloed a stunning 2:01 victory. With no competition near her, she set the pace and clocked what was then her outdoor season opener in the 800m. This season, Martinez is returning from a runner-up finish in the Drake Relays 1500m to Olympic bronze medalist Jenny Simpson.
In Saturday's race, Martinez should face competition in Russian whistleblower Julia Stepanova. Stepanova and her husband Vitaly escaped from Russia after assisting in the German documentary that revealed systematic doping practices among the Russian Olympic team. So far this season, Stepanova has run a season's best of 2:05.
Who: Beejay Lee, Shavez Hart, Tatenda Tsumba, Remontay McClain, Greg Rutherford

Former USC All-American Beejay Lee will lead the field after competing on the winning Team USA teams in the 4x100m and sprint medley at Penn Relays. Lee also boasts a 100m personal best of 9.99.
Olympic champion and world champion Greg Rutherford is entered in the 100m and will also compete in his first long competition of the season. The British team member is returning from a 2016 season that saw an Olympic bronze medal in the long jump.
