Molly Seidel Joins Tim Broe's Saucony-Sponsored Freedom Track Club
Four-time NCAA champion Molly Seidel of Notre Dame has joined the Saucony-sponsored Freedom Track Club in Boston and will be coached by 2004 Olympian Tim Broe.
Molly Seidel, a four-time NCAA champion for the University of Notre Dame, announced yesterday that she has joined the Saucony-sponsored Freedom Track Club in Boston and will be coached by 2004 Olympian Tim Broe, who will also serve as the Freedom TC program director.
Saucony posted a press release on Tuesday with full details about the new training group, which also includes Helen Schlachtenhaufen, Paige Kouba, Tim Ritchie, Brian Shrader, Tommy Curtin, M.J. Erb, and James Randon.
"On behalf of the whole Freedom Track Club, we're very excited to be on board with Saucony and appreciate the incredible opportunity to be part of a brand that values runners of every level," said Tim Broe, Saucony Freedom Track Club program director and coach. "Saucony already has a legacy of sponsoring some of the fastest runners in the world. This team, aside from all of their athletic accomplishments, is a fiercely independent group of young people who embrace the work it takes to make world teams. I know the brand's emphasis on performance and innovation, evident in their award-winning footwear and apparel, will surely help all of these aspiring athletes achieve their goals."
Seidel has been quiet since sweeping the NCAA XC and NCAA indoor 3K and 5K titles during the 2015-2016 school year. She struggled with injury in her final year at Notre Dame and has not raced since a 33:19 10K at the Stanford Invitational in March.
