World Youth Record Holder Anthony Schwartz Might Go To Florida
World Youth record holder Anthony Schwartz is high on the University of Florida.
The Florida Gators may have just landed the nation's top short sprint prospect in Florida's Anthony Schwartz, who set the World Youth Record for 100m last spring by clocking 10.15 at the Florida Relays.
Schwartz, who attends Plantation American Heritage High School, is also a four-star football recruit and Under Armour All-American. He plans to pursue both sports at the NCAA level. The University of Florida has led the wide receiver's college list since the summer and he posted a photo today of himself in the Gators uniform to his Twitter account.
However, several SEC football reporters noted that the tweet does not represent a verbal commitment.
In late July, he tweeted that he was also considering Auburn, Georgia, LSU, USC, and Tennessee.
Schwartz struggled with injury after his record-setting run this spring, but came back to win the New Balance Nationals Outdoor title in the 100m and take second in the 200m to Tyrese Cooper.
