NCAA All-American Edwin Kurgat Transfers To Iowa State

2017 NCAA cross country All-American Edwin Kurgat has transferred to Iowa State, according to the Cyclones' team roster. The sophomore, who ran for the University of Tennessee-Martin in the fall, will have three years of track eligibility and two seasons of cross country while at Iowa State.
Based on Kurgat's 21st place finish at NCAA XC in 2017, the Cyclones now become a formidable threat to NAU's three-peat chances.
In fact, if you re-score the 2017 NCAA XC championships with Kurgat on ISU's roster, the Cyclones sneak past Stanford to make the podium with seven underclassmen.
2017 NCAA Team Scores w/ Kurgat on ISU's roster
1. 76 NAU
2. 130 Portland
3. 170 BYU
4. 219 Iowa State
5. 223 Stanford
Iowa State's 2018 XC Projected Top Five:
