The LSU women set the world lead in the women's 4x100m relay on Saturday running a time of 42.50. The mark is the ninth-fastest in NCAA history.
The LSU women continue to be magic with the baton. On Saturday, the quartet of Mikiah Brisco, Kortnei Johnson, Rachel Misher, and Aleia Hobbs ran 42.50 in the 4x100m relay at the Battle on the Bayou meet in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The mark is the fastest in the world this year and tied for the ninth fastest performance all-time in the NCAA.

Saturday’s result deepened LSU’s presence in the 4x100 all-time list. The Tigers now own five of the 10 fastest collegiate marks, including a co-owning the collegiate record with Oregon. Last season, Brisco, Johnson, and Hobbs teamed up with the since-graduated Jada Martin to run the first-, third-, and fourth-fastest times ever in the event.
Overall, 2017 was a banner year for the women’s 4x100, with Oregon and LSU completely overhauling the record books.
