Analysis:
The Georgetown Hoyas look to get back to the NCAA championships in 2018. Led by two newcomers and a redshirt sophomore the Hoyas will be a very different team compared to their 2017 squad which finished 3rd in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Arriving to D.C. will be the No. 3 recruit Katherine Lee who finished fourth at Foot Locker her senior year as well as Meg Mathison who finished sixth at the DIII NCAA XC Championships last year for Carleton College.
Paige Hofstad will make a big impact on the team after redshirting xc last season and running a 16:04 5K in the spring. In addition to Hofstad, Martha MacDonald returns after qualifying for NCAAs as a freshman as well as junior Margie Cullen who finished in the top-30 at regionals last year.
This year the Hoyas will make a big jump as a top-25 team with mostly underclassmen leading the charge.
