SO Jasmine Fehr (4:27 1500; 9:40 3K; 102nd at ‘17 DII NCAA XC)

SR Courtney Cox (9:55 3K; 17:15 5K; 236th at ‘17 NCAA XC)

Impact Freshmen/Transfers:

Camila Noe via Bozeman, MT (9:54 3200; 1st at '17 NXR Northwest)

Jasmine Fehr via Edinboro (4:27 1500; 9:40 3K; 102nd at ‘17 DII NCAA XC)

Analysis:

The Pilots have a potent 1-2 punch with Lauren LaRocco and Taryn Rawlings. Rawlings was Portland’s only entrant in the women’s race last year where she finished 51st. On the track, she was superb in the spring, placing sixth at the NCAA Championships in the 1500m. 

LaRocco redshirted in 2017, but was an All-American in cross country. The presence of those two not only put Portland back into the NCAA Championships, but should also lift them into the top 15.

Camilia Noe and Jasmine Fehr are two key newcomers. Noe is expected to be in Pilots’ top five as a freshman after a sparkling prep career on the track and cross country course. Fehr spent her freshman year at Division II Edinboro University. She wasn’t a factor in cross country, but did qualify for the national championships outdoors in the 1500m.
