Tyrese Cooper is heading to Eugene.
Miami product Tyrese Cooper, one of the fastest high school sprinters in U.S. history, has made his college choice. The 18-year-old, who holds PRs of 20.46 in the 200m and 45.23 in the 400m, will attend the University of Oregon this upcoming fall.

Cooper was also considering the University of Texas and Ohio State University.
Wednesday marked the beginning of the regular signing period for football players and for those who plan on competing in football and track and field. Cooper is a three-star rated wide receiver on 247Sports.com.
Oregon head coach Robert Johnson will be tasked with maximizing an athlete in Cooper whose outdoor PRs in the 200m and 400m come from 2016. Cooper ran season’s bests of 20.73 and 46.02 in 2018.
