The former 800m world champion tested positive for LGD-4033, a muscle growth agent that resembles anabolic steroids.

The 2015 800m world champion Marina Arzamasova of Belarus has been provisionally suspended by the Athletics Integrity Unit for a doping violation, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The AIU confirms a Provisional Suspension against Belarusian middle-distance runner Marina Arzamasova for a violation of the @iaaforg Anti-Doping Rules.

Arzamasova, 31, tested positive for LGD-4033, a muscle growth agent similar to anabolic steroids. The AIU did not immediately disclose what the length of suspension would be for Arzamasova.
The Belarusian won the 2015 world title in Beijing in 1:58.03 over Canadian Melissa Bishop. She set her 1:57.54 personal best in the rounds at the same championships. Arzamasova has not run faster than 2:01 since 2016.
