The 2020 Boston Marathon has been postponed in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, with the race originally scheduled for April 20 possibly being pushed to a fall date, according to WBZ-TV in Boston.

The report states that officials from each of the eight towns on the race course route met on Wednesday to discuss potential make-up dates. Holding the race on a Monday in September has been considered, with a possible decision coming by the end of this week per the report.
