AAU Track and Field Renews Agreement with FloSports
AAU Junior Olympic Games, and select regional competitions, will be live streamed on FloTrack.
The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) will once again partner with FloSports this summer to provide live coverage of numerous AAU track and field events across the country on FloTrack.com and MileSplit.com. The partnership includes live coverage of the 55th annual AAU Junior Olympic Games from Houston, Texas July 30-Aug. 7.
“I am very excited to be able to announce that we have renewed our partnership with FloTrack,” said Charles “Coach O” Oliver, AAU Track and Field National Chair. “FloSports has been extremely supportive of our mission to promote the development of track and field athletes. Now more than ever, bringing the athletic action to parents, grandparents, friends and families across the country in a safe and secure manner is paramount to the success of the athletes competing and for the continued advancement of AAU track and field as well.”
"We are honored to continue our relationship with AAU," said Ryan Fenton, Director, Global Rights Acquisition, FloSports. "We share a common vision about the importance of growing the sport of track and field starting at the youth level and Coach O and his team have been invaluable partners in helping us achieve that end. We are looking forward to working with AAU for years to come."
FloSports, the innovator in live digital sports and original content, operates a network of more than 25 dedicated sports websites, including FloTrack.com and MileSplit.com. The alignment marks the fifth consecutive year in which AAU track and field regional qualifying events will be streamed live and available for more than 80,000 AAU Track and Field athletes. A statistic that cannot be matched by any other youth sports organization in the country.
Elite athletes who have participated in the AAU Track and Field program include Jackie Joyner Kersee, the all-time greatest heptathlete, Athing Mu, world under-20 record holder for women’s indoor 400m and 800m, Kendell Williams, six-time NCAA Division I Champion, Cyril Grayson, LV Super Bowl Champion and seven-time NCAA Track All-American at LSU, and Grant Holloway, who just recently broke the 60m hurdle World Record for the event.
