Hilary Stellingwerff`s career as a middle distance runner is defined by tough racing and a training regime that focuses on details. After graduating from Wisconsin in 2004 as a 4:14 1500 meter performer, Hilary has run between 4:05 and 4:08 in all nine seasons of her post-collegiate career. She has represented her country of Canada at the Commonwealth Games, World Championships, and the Olympic Games. Hilary is coached by Dave Scott Thomas of Speed River TC and her husband Trent, a physiologist and consultant for the Canadian Olympic Team. Dave and Trent not only guide Hilary in aspects of physical training. Significant attention is given to proper diet and the mental side of competition.
