Frank Gagliano, "Gags", talks about his journey in coaching
In the spring of 1961 Frank Gagliano started his track and field coaching career having no knowledge of the sport, just a passion for teaching young people. Fourty-nine years later Gags is known as one of the best middle distance coaches in the country. Gags' athletes have a strong connection with Gags as a coach, mentor, and friend because of the family atmosphere he has instilled in his programs. In this interview Gags talks about his journey as a coach, how he got started, where he went, and programs he was a part of. He talks about the importance of post-collegiate running in track and field and also gives a word of advice to all coaches and athletes out there.
