Workout Wednesday - Sara Hall
In high school, Sara Hall was the Footlocker National XC Champion and first athlete in California history to win four consecutive cross country titles. Sara Hall had top 3 and runner up finishes at NCAA cross and the NCAA outdoor 5k respectively. Now as a professional Hall holds PRs of 4:08 for 1500, 8:52 for 3k, 15:20 for 5k and most recently a 9:50 in the steeplechase which currently ranks #1 in the world. Hall has also ran on 2 US World Indoor teams for 3000 meters. As she heads into the next World and Olympic cycles Hall is looking to make her first international Outdoor US team. Sara has run most distances this spring already as she looks to find her best event that will give her a shot a Daegu and London. She'll be running at her alma mater this weekend at the 2011 Stanford Payton Jordan Invitational live on Flotrack. Yesterday Sara Hall won the 2011 Drake Relays Grand Blue Mile in Des Moines, Iowa. This workout took place prior to her 5k at the 2011 Mt. SAC Relays. Workout: 6 x 1000 meters (2 min rest) 8x100 meters (30 sec rest) Location - Sedona, AZ Elevation - 4,800 ft
