CU's latest steeplechase star, Shalaya Kipp, has had an unrivaled 2012 campaign. At this year's Payton Jordan Invitational she ran an NCAA leading 9:43.09, improving her former personal best by 8 seconds, and solidifying herself as a household name in American steeplechasing. This year she's relied on experience and improved form to take her to the top and going into Des Moines she will be the heavy favorite.
