Kenenisa Bekele talks about tough year after finishing fourth in 5k at 2012 Pre Classic

Kenenisa Bekele is arguably the greater distance runner the world has ever seen. Over his career he is racked up 11 World Cross Country titles, six World Championship gold medals on the track, three Olympic Gold medals, one Olympic Silver medal and don't forget his world records at the 5k/10k distances. Ever since his double gold medals at the 2009 Berlin World Championships in the 5000 and 10000 meters it has not be a smooth road for Bekele. This past summer he DNFed in the 10k at the Daegu World Championships failing to defend his title, but had bounced back late in the season running a world leading 26:43 for 10k. This year things are starting off relatively slow for Bekele as he hasn't been seen winning major races on the track yet, but he is in the thick of it and sounds like he's ready to work on defending his Olympic Gold medals in at least one event in London! At the 2012 Pre Classic Kenenisa finished fourth in the 5k at 13:01.
