Hurdle Training - hurdle endurance - ups and downs

null

November 17, 2011 - Today's workout I broke from the traditional up and down with equal distance and height going in both directions and pushed the envelop a bit with the number of hurdles per run. 8 hurdles up spaced 16 feet apart at 36 inches for a quick 3-step rhythm. 6 hurdles down spaced 28 feet apart at 39 inches for a 5 step rhythm. Workout - 2 sets 4 x up/down w/90 seconds rest, 5 minutes/ sets Fatigue will set in and focus will be tested. I love what it does for you conditioning, but I hate when fatigue hits and the legs feel like the hurdle is tower. And yes, I've fell numerous times over my 25 plus years of hurdling... especially when doing endurance work. And today was no exception. This workout is done slowly but it is brutal.
