Evan Jager just off American steeple record with sloppy last lap at Pre Classic 2013

This time last year Evan Jager only had a couple Steeplechase races under his belt with his debut at Mt. Sac in April 2012. In a a years time he has set the American Record and has broken it multiple times and has a 6th place finish at the London Olympics to his name. He got 5th today in a strong Steeple field with an 8:08.60, just missing his own AR. Although he had a really difficult finish over the last few barriers he is happy with his 8:08 season opener.
