Mac Fleet ready for PRs, preps for Europe debut
After snatching an NCAA title in the 1500m, Mac Fleet went to the US Championships and got 6th in the final. He rehashes that race and talks about what he learned and how an experience like making a final at US Champs helps him grow moving forward. Fleet decided to keep grinding this summer and went to Canada for some NTL meets. His best performance was at the Victoria International Track Classic where he got 2nd behind Joe Abbott in a PR of 1:46.32. Despite his new 800m best mark he still thinks his PRs are not reflective of the shape he is and as he prepares for some more PRs starting with the 1,500m in Heusden for his Europe debut. Fleet also discusses the confusion about wearing the University of Oregon's singlet overseas and mixing it up with the pros during the summer track season.
