The 2024 Penn Relays began on April 25 at Franklin Field in Philadelphia. Which means hurdles, sprints and cheesesteaks.

Since 1895, University of Pennsylvania has hosted one of the nation's most famous track meets: the Penn Relays. Nestled in the same city that gave us the United States Constitution and was the first U.S. capital, Philadelphia becomes the capital of track and field every spring for a few days. 

And that includes from April 25 to April 27 when the best track athletes in the world will compete this year, and they'll do so on FloTrack and the FloSports app.

And those athletes, coming from all over the country and the world, will most certainly be eating the most famous food in Philly: The Cheesesteak. 

Piles of steak mixed with onions, green peppers and maybe other ingredients, doused with different types of cheeses (depending where you go) and all living on a roll (and maybe even bun?). 

In what might be the worst meal to eat while also trying to set and break track and field records, the Philly Cheesesteak and the Penn Relays go hand-in-hand.
