Flynn was running in front of a crowd that included former Razorback head coach John McDonnell.

The event winner clocked a time of 1:52.48 Lieghio just completed his junior season at Arkansas where he was an indoor All-America performer as a member of the distance-medley relay.

Representing his native Jamaica at the NACAC meet, Gauntlett posted a time of 46.95 in the final of the 400 meters. He entered the championship race with a qualifying time of 47.23 in the preliminary round. In the 4x100-meter relay, Gauntlett teamed with Paul McPearson, Ramone McKenzie and Akino Ming to help Jamaica to a third-place finish in 39.67.
