Bolt Says He'll Defend Sprint Titles in Rio
Rather than switch to the 400m or Long Jump, Usain Bolt will aim to defend his double sprint titles in the 100m and 200m at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

"I dont want to try any different events at Rio, because at Rio, I will just defend my titles to show the world that there is a possibility that I can do it again," Bolt said at a news conferecne. "The three-peat. That's the focus - there's not going to be any different event."

Bolt is the first man to successfully defend the sprint titles at the London Olympics.

Speculation regarding the switch first stemmed from comments made by Bolt after the London Olympics. Bolt said, "My coach wants me to do 400m, I want to try long jump. It's just about making different goals, there's a lot of things I can do in the sport."

But Bolt has shifted his goals back to his main events. The current world record holder at 100m and 200m believes that he can run faster in 2013.

"It's all about hard work. When I was doing great when I was young, people used to say I was fast for my age, but I have put a lot of work into it since I was a senior athlete."

"I continue to work hard, continue staying focused and pushing myself."

So for me that's the focus right now - to see how fast I can go and I definitely try to go faster each year.""I continue to work hard, continue staying focused and pushing myself."So for me that's the focus right now - to see how fast I can go and I definitely try to go faster each year."
