In 2008, Chanelle Price ran the 2nd fastest 800m in American prep history, her 2:01.61 at the Prefontaine Classic. The immense talent Price displayed in high school did not translate as well to college, however, and she left Tennessee in 2012 without an individual NCAA title that once seemed so certain. Unsponsored and forgotten, Price slowly began to piece her career back together in 2013. As track became fun again for Price, her performances started to reflect her mindset, and the then 23-year-old qualified for the 2014 World Indoor Championships last February. No one could have predicted what happened next.
