Jamaican sprinter Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce blazed to a 10.77 second 100-meter dash for a new world leading time during the semi-final round of the Sainsbury’s Anniversary Games. She finished fourth in the final, but left the Olympic Stadium pleased with her weekend of work.

On Saturday afternoon, Mo Farah returned to the site where he won two Olympic gold medals in the men’s 5,000-meter and 10,000-meter races. Many in attendance at the Olympic Stadium expected Farah to chase the British record of 7:32.79 held by David Moorcroft for the past 31 years. With two weeks to go until the IAAF World Championships, Farah had other plans.

We love to see those two duke it out. Tonight at the London Diamond League Meeting, Nick Symmonds left Duane Solomon for broke and took the win in the men’s 800m. Symmonds 1:43.67 winning time was not only a seasonal best, but the second fastest he’s ever run.

Mary Cain Unleashed Her Kick, But It Wasn't Enough

Mary Cain failed to make it out of the the 800-meter preliminary round at the 2012 United States Olympic Trials. On Friday night she had her moment at London’s Olympic Stadium as she finished fifth in the women’s 1,500-meter run at London’s Anniversary Games. Wallace Spearmon Officially Added to Team USA

Sprinter Wallace Spearmon has officially been added to the United States national team headed to Moscow for the IAAF World Championships held from August 10 to 18. The 2005 silver medalist and two-time bronze medalist (2007 and 2009) replaces Tyson Gay as the third member of the U.S. 200-meter dash squad.

After missing from the provisional list released for the 2013 Anniversary Games, world record holder Usain Bolt has been added to the men's 100-meter dash field. He will most likely also participate in the Racers Track Club 4x100-meter relay team.
