Wisconsin head coach Mick Byrne on why his team ran conservative

In a very competitive men's team battle at the Greater Louisville Classic, the #4 Wisconsin Badgers fell to seventh place. But there's a reason a quartet of Badgers finished together in 39th, 40th, 41st and 42nd place. Wisconsin head coach Mick Byrne chose to race his team conservatively, stating "It's too early." In a sport where the men are required to race two 10,000m races over back-to-back final weekends of the NCAA season, Byrne said his team has not been backing off from hard training but plan to be competitive at the adidas Wisconsin Invitational in two weeks.
