Arkansas coach Lance Harter reflects on Lady Razorbacks' first NCAA title
Mar 16, 2015
The Arkansas men's track and field program has become a fixture atop the NCAA Championships podium over the years, winning over 40 NCAA team titles. But for the women, the road has been quite different. Although they've had amazing teams and individual national champions, the Lady Razorbacks have never won an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor title. In track, they had never even finished second (Though they have had four runner up finishes in XC). This weekend the drought ended. Arkansas women's coach Lance Harter gives an in-depth analysis and reflection on the Razorbacks' National Championship just one day after raising the trophy on their home track in Fayetteville. Harter praises his team's depth (They scored in every event they were entered), and discusses how special it is to win his first title after 25 years at the helm. The Arkansas ladies ended the meet with 63 points, third most in NCAA history.
