Yosef and Giliat Ghebray - Brothers In Training and Racing
Mar 3, 2012
Yosef and Giliat Ghebray, both Cal grads, have had ups and downs as post-collegiate runners. Giliat is the older brother by three years and ran 13:42 at Cal before going to Mc Millan Elite in 2009. After some time away from competition, he ran 1:03 for the half marathon to qualify for the Olympic Marathon Trials. Yosef ran 8:55 in high school and was a Foot Locker finalist. He ran 13:44 and 28:32 early in his Cal career before hitting bumps in the road. He recently returned to the Bay Area after training with Team Indiana Elite. Now the Ghebray brothers are training with Bolota Asmeron in preparation for the Olympic Track Trials.
