Oscar Pistorius interview after qualifying for World Championships 2011

Video Interview - Double amputee Oscar Pistorius, a.k.a. Blade Runner, has qualified for the 2011 World Championships in Athletics and the 2012 Olympic Games in London after winning the 400 meters at the Lignano track and field meeting in 45.07 seconds (race video). The "A" qualifying time Oscar Pistorius needed to run was 45.25. Now he will need to be selected by South Africa to represent the country at the Championships. Oscar's fastest time before tonight's race in Lignano was 45.61 from earlier this year in March. The time was an Olympic "B" standard qualifying time, a provisional mark for the Olympics and World Championships. Pistorius's last race which was in Padova, Italy was only clocked at 46.65. The 2011 season also marks the first time in his career that Pistorius has broken 46 seconds for 400 meters. Full article on Pistorius' accomplishment
