Chris Thompson just misses out on 10k A standard at 2013 Payton Jordan Invite

Chris Thompson broke our hearts as he gutted out a tough last couple laps, but missed the "A" standard by 0.81. Thomo knew that Payton Jordan was going to be tight. His training wasn't ideal, but the clock was ticking and he needed to run under 27:40. With five laps to go, Thomo knew it was going to take a "monumental" effort. He thought he could do it... but fell less than a second short. Thomo doesn't know what'll happen next, but says, "Give me five weeks and I'll do it."
