Erik Van Igen talks ways to beat Batty and more before NCAA Indoor 2012
Mar 7, 2012
Erik Van Ingen of Binghamton comes into the NCAA Indoor Championships ranked #3 in the mile, his highest ranking of his collegiate career. We talk about what it means to run at the NCAA Championships and ask if there is a way to beat collegiate record holder Miles Batty. Van Ingen has set indoor PRs this season of 3:56 in the Millrose Games' Mile and 7:56 in the 3k showing he's at his best. Van Ingen was 5th last year indoors in the mile and 6th outdoor in the 1500 at the NCAA Championships so he feels like "he's done it before."
