Danny Tapia was like most high school runners when he gave up the sport upon entering college. It was not until after graduation from UC Santa Cruz that he decided to take up running again. He ran 2:16:50 at the 2011 San Diego Rock-n-Roll Marathon to go along with a 1:04:41 half marathon this fall.
