Movin Shoes Elite Athlete Development Program

Apr 14, 2012

Founded in 2011, the Movin Shoes Elite Athlete Development Program was intended to give aspiring post-collegiate athletes the opportunity to continue training once they graduated. The current crop of athletes are UC San Diego graduates who were All-Americans on the Division II level and are just shy of Olympic Trials qualifying marks. Flotrack recently had the chance to catch up with sprinter Kelly Fogerty, high jumper Linda Rainwater, hammer thrower Danielle Thu and long jumper Stephanie LeFever as well as their coaches to discuss the program. All four of the athletes will be competing at the Mt. Sac Relays this weekend.
