Men's 5k, Edward Cheserek Wins Eighth NCAA track title

Edward Cheserek won his eighth NCAA track title in the NCAA 5k by running 13:47.89. Virginia Tech’s Thomas Curtin made the competition an honest race from the gun, but he was no match for Cheserek, who took the led with 400m to go to close the door on Curtin, who finished second in 13:50.70.
