Who's out and who's in? 

Who can repeat, who can shock the NCAA and who will come up just short?

The 2024 cross country season is in full swing, with conference championships in the rearview and regional championships on the docket. A modified version of the ELO ranking system -- a weighted algorithm that has been the gold standard used to rank sports since the 1960s -- has been developed and will be used throughout the season to see who would move up in the rankings and who would be displaced. Each competitor has been assigned an "ELO score" that will go up if they beat ranked racers, and down if they lose to varying degrees depending on the strength of their competition.

Follow throughout the season to see which favorites can deliver and which underdogs will step up and defy the FloTrack algorithm.
