Recently, Flotrack was given the opportunity to tour the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif. and chat with elite throwers Kara Patterson and Russ Winger about their experiences at the OTC. Located in just outside of San Diego, the Olympic Training Center opened in 1995 to provide American athletes with the resources needed to excel on the international level. The facility not only allows for year-round warm weather training but also features 155 acres of sporting venues that support archery, BMX, canoe/kayak, cycling, field hockey, rowing, soccer, softball, tennis, track & field and triathlon.
