Ryan Hill isn't ruling out 5k American Record in Boston
Feb 25, 2017
Ryan Hill is one of the premiere distance runners in the United States. Hill won the silver medal indoors at the World Championships last year in his best event, the 3k, but felt 2.5 seconds short of making his first Olympic team in the 5000m. Afterwards, he went on to set a big PR in the 3k (7:30, ranks US#4 all-time and less than 2 seconds off the American record) and is now gearing up for a big 2017. In his second race of the indoor season Hill looks to run a quick 5k and suggests that the American record could be in jeopardy if the pace hits 7:52 at 3000m. Hill will race his teammates which include Olympians and American record holders, along with rivals Ben True and Eric Jenkins of the Nike Oregon Project. Hill currently ranks US#9 all-time on the indoor 5k list. Look for that to change in Boston
