Calling All Steeplers!

Remember when Josh McAdams called out all steeplers after winning the Stanford Invite a little over a month ago? McAdams invited steeplers across the country to join him (tonight) at the Payton Jordan Invitational, in hopes of many in the race achieving the 8:23 'A' Standard.

Here is the video ...

Well, Josh ... they responded.  Tonight's 3k steeplechase is absolutely loaded with talent. Americans Billy Nelson, Kyle Alcorn, Derek Scott, Ben Bruce, Kyle Perry and a handful of 8:30 to 8:40 guys all sent in their rsvp's.  Throw in foreigners Mario Bazan (8:28), Alex Genest (8:27), Aoi Matsumoto (8:30), and Hiroyoshi Umagae (8:34), and this could be the deepest and fastest steeple run on American soil in a long time.
