Like Wednesday, Thursday will only feature one event final on the track. The men's 10k will be a huge showdown between some of the fastest collegiate 10k runners of all-time. However, there are several storylines in the semifinal races as well. Here are a few races to look out for:

Men's 10k

Without a doubt, this is the highlight of the day (if not the meet). There are several sub-28 minute runners in the field and no shortage of championship worthy talent here. The headliner, although he has had a somewhat quiet spring, has to be Sam Chelanga of Liberty. After Chelanga's past, he has probably earned favorite status here. However, Chelanga only has a 28:15 season's best. Meanwhile, Stephen Sambu of Arizona erupted onto the 2011 scene in a huge way, running a 27:28 at Payton Jordan to turn in the fastest time of the year. Just behind him was countryman Leonard Korir of Iona, who ran 27:29. Of note here are Stanford's "3 Amigos" in Jake Riley, Chris Derrick and Elliott Heath. Derrick and Heath have sub 13:30 5k's this season and if Heath is anywhere near the lead with 600 left, it could get very interesting. See what Chelanga thinks about his new rivalry with Korir here.

1500's

The 1500 is a stacked event this year on both sides.

For the women, Jordan Hasay of Oregon, Lea Wallace of Sacramento State and Sheila Reid of Villanova bring a lot of star-power to the event. Hasay was the star of indoor nationals, and it will be interesting to see how Reid responds in this 1500. The three women are separated by just over a second, so the title really is up for grabs. Will Wallace have the superior kick with her 800 background if the pace is slow? Or are Reid and Hasay too strong to let it get to that? This one will be fun.

The men's is going to be special as well. Matthew Centrowitz has looked terrific lately. The Oregon Duck cruised to a west preliminary win by sprinkling in a 54 midrace to separate from the field. Will he capture his first NCAA individual title this weekend? Duncan Phillips of Arkansas, Miles Batty of BYU and Chris O'Hare of Tulsa are just a few of about 6 to 8 guys that could claim the title. Look out for Matthew Gibney of Villanova as well. After watching his Penn Relays performances, he could be a trendy sleeper pick. Also, it will be interesting to see if A.J. Acosta of Oregon can regain his 2010 form, as he looked much better at the preliminary rounds two weeks ago.

Men's 200

Maurice Mitchell of Florida State enters the weekend with the second fastest time in the nation to Oklahoma's Rakieem Salaam. Mitchell looked terrific in the 100 on Wednesday, cruising to the final with his 10.16. Will he be able to overtake Salaam for the 200 crown? It could be a two-man show, as the two lead the rest of the country by 3 tenths of a second.

Men's 4x400

It looked early in the season that Texas A&M might break 3 minutes with ease. With two separate teams running just over 3 minutes in the same race, their depth was inconceivable. However, two months later they are still looking to break the mark. The thing about this year's 4x400 depth is...they could break 3 and still lose! Baylor has run 3:01 high and LSU has run 3:02 low. With the heightened competition and electric atmosphere in Des Moines, we will all be waiting for the last event of the meet to see if it can be done. This could be the deepest field of 400 runners in one meet in NCAA history. Is A&M still the class of this field, or are the tides about to shift?
